Irvine are an indie rock band whose sound draws on influences from across the indie and rock genres, such as Jimmy Eat World, Cold War Kids, Bon Iver and Broken Social Scene. Described as the “stepchild of Muse and old school (i.e. good) U2” the band’s eclectic rock sound has gained them a loyal following wherever they have performed in South Africa and the UK over the last ten years. Their debut album has been well received by both fans and media with their single ‘The Chase’ receiving airplay on radio stations across South Africa as well as the video being featured on channels such as M-Net HD, DSTV’s MK and American Free TV. The band’s intense, energetic live show has seen them complete national tours with artists such as Crash Car Burn and John Ellis.
